Description
Detect motion more reliable than other ways. Radar is what the military uses for object and motion detection because it is one of the most reliable ways to detect objects. Use this in conjunction with your android or micro-controller for your next project.
Features
Size: 37mmX45mmX8mm
Voltage: DC 5V
Non-contact detection
Independent of temperature, humidity, noise, air, dust, light other effects, suitable for harsh environments
Anti-RF interference ability
Input power is only 40mA
More than 20 meters detection range.
Example of use
Robots like to use sonar or ir detection with good reliability. These items can be inaccurate or inefficient. Robotics can have the advantage of having a sensor that can be hidden and sill work reliably.

The microwave with 10.525GHz has the following advantages compared with the lower frequency wave: 1. The microwave antenna has good orientation when transmitting, so it is easy to control the range of the microwave probe. 2, microwave in the transmission process is easier to be attenuated, absorbed and reflected, encountered walls and other occlusions will be occluded, so the wall and other occlusions outside the object interference is very small.
Power supply: There are two types of continuous DC power supply (CW) mode and pulsed power supply (PW) mode to supply HB100: HB100 ADAPTS to a voltage range of 5V± 5%. The typical current when operating in continuous direct current (CW) mode is 35mA (typical value). When operating in low duty cycle pulse power supply (PW) mode, it is recommended to supply HB100 with 5V pulse width between 5μs and 30μs (typical value is 20μs) and frequency between 2 and 4kHz (typical value is 2.0kHz).
The average current of 3-10% duty cycle pulse power supply is 1.2mA ~ 4mA. The pulse supply voltage must be between 4.75V and 5.25V, and the flatness of the pulse tip will affect the detection ability of HB100. When the supply voltage exceeds 5.25V, its reliability will be reduced and may lead to RF output outside the nominal frequency and damage to the circuit.
Rf output: In all recommended operating modes, the RF power output of the HB100 is very low and operates within a safe range that does not pose any hazard to the human body. When operating in continuous direct current (CW) mode, the total output power is less than 15mW. The output power density is 1mW/cm2 at 5mm and 0.72μW/cm2 at 1m. When operating in a 5% duty cycle pulse power supply mode, the power density is reduced to 50μW/cm2 and 0.036μW/cm2, respectively.
IF output: When the object moves radially relative to the antenna surface of HB100 at a speed of 1m/s within the effective detection range of HB100 (the side of the non-aluminum shield is the antenna surface), the IF output of HB100 is 72Hz/ s, and the pulsation output frequency of IF is approximately linear with the relative radial moving speed of the object.
