With over 1200 shades sold, now available on Amazon. The Sun Shade Pro is designed to keep the sun’s rays off your camera so it keeps filming without overheating. Anyone who has tried to record with one in the summer outside knows they heat up fast and then shut down. This cover is printed in high temp resistant PETG and white to reflect as much of the sun’s energy as possible. There is a small air gap above the camera and side air vents to help dissipate any heat generated. This shade is completely passive in operation. It relies on the thermal convection to allow the heat to rise and exit the side vents. The cover is made loose enough to easily lift off to adjust or start/stop and then easily set back on. The camera itself generates a lot of heat even without the Sun’s light hitting it. There are tricks to reduce the heat generation that when used in conjunction with the Sun Shield will greatly increase your recording time. These include reducing the screen on time, lowering brightness, lowering resolution to 1080p and running off an external battery pack with the internal battery removed. Please Note: Shades may have small imperfections that are typical with 3D printing such as small black specs or surface texture inconsistencies. Shades will all be 100% functional.
