The Alpha 1 stands out with its newly developed 50.1MP full-frame Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR processing engine. Optimized processing allows the a1 to achieve continuous shooting at full-resolution at a rate of 30 frames per second. It also enables 8K video recording at 30p and 4K video recording at 120p, both with 10-bit depth. Additionally, it provides a versatile sensitivity up to ISO 102400, making it suitable for low-light shooting scenarios.
The A1 may look similar to its predecessors in physical form, but it’s packed with the most advanced technology from the Alpha series, along with some significant enhancements. It boasts a 9.44m-dot OLED EVF, which offers a refresh rate of 240 fps for smooth motion depiction and significantly reduced blackout during continuous shooting. The camera’s shutter updated, now providing full-frame flash sync speeds of up to 1/400 sec. Speed of up to 1/200 sec when using the silent electronic shutter.
