No. Charger 1 auto-monitors the car battery and stops drawing in 3-6s when the engine is off.
Battery detection sensitivity varies by vehicle. Check during first use to ensure it stops charging. If not, use the circuit breaker or app to turn it off.
Will Charger 1 damage my car battery or shorten its lifespan?
No. Charger 1 monitors the car battery’s voltage and adjusts its output accordingly. If the battery drops below 12.0V/26.0V, it triggers undervoltage protection and stops charging. With proper maintenance, your car battery will last as expected.
